Drip7,  the new microlearning platform for cybersecurity, is holding our first ever Content Creation Contest.  We are awarding some great prizes for the creation of outstanding original content in each of these two cybersecurity categories: CyberCore or Technical.

Categories:

CyberCore – Content that covers general Cybersecurity for beginner to intermediate end users. Topics include: password creation and protection, wifi best practices, phishing awareness, etc.

Technical – Content that covers more in-depth technology related subjects geared towards end users with advanced technical knowledge. Topics include: coding safety, firewall set up and maintenance, etc.

Who Can Submit?

The contest is open to anyone, but is aimed toward students involved in computer sciences, graphic design, writing, editing, even business and marketing. Limited to US residents only, but we are working to change that.

**All contestants will receive a certificate of completion for their records, regardless of placement, to be used on their resume.**

Here's what you can submit

There are three types of content that can be created under each category:

Video

Use your graphic design skills to create a short animated video that explains a cybersecurity topic or concept and includes a question that can be answered at the end of the video. This must be stylized to be engaging & informative and between 60-90 seconds in length. An audio only file of the video must be submitted with the full video. (live action videos will not be accepted).

Mini-Game

Use your coding and creativity to design an innovative learning mini-game that teaches users about a specified cybersecurity topic. Focus on creating a ‘fun’ way to educate with user interaction, skill development /reinforcement, and verifiable progression through the ‘game’ stages. Examples of games can include: crossword puzzles, drag and drop, hide and seek, or whatever your creativity can design. You may choose your own platform, but judges shouldn't be expected to install anything but your game. A game should not take more than 4 minutes to complete.

Question Content

Use your writing skills to create ‘question and answer’ format content that educates users about cybersecurity topics, best practices, and actionable changes they can make to their cyber routines. A variety of learning styles must be addressed: Visual, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic, Logical. Questions can be in the form of multiple choice, fill in the blank, and true or false questions, looking at a diagram to answer a question, or other. Remember this is micro-learning, so keep it short. Question content submissions for the CyberCore category entries must have a minimum of 30 questions for each topic. Multiple topics should be submitted as separate entries. Question content submissions for the Technical category must also have a minimum of 30 questions for the selected field of expertise.
